Huddersfield Giants hooker Shaun Lunt is going nowhere in 2015.

Speculation the 27-year-old could be leaving Huddersfield is refusing to go away, with rumours of renewed interest from Hull KR and Leeds Rhinos.

And those fears among the claret and gold faithful were raised with last week’s sudden season-long loan departure of Larne Patrick to Wigan.

But Lunt has assured fans he is 100% committed to the Giants cause for Super League XX, and at this stage isn’t thinking about his next step once his current deal expires at the end of next year.

“I am fully aware of all this interest, and I suppose I do find it flattering,” he admitted.

“But at this very moment I am 100% committed to the Giants and I’m really looking forward to the start of pre-season training and preparing for what I know can be another very big year for the club.

“I thoroughly enjoyed our three-day army camp – even though it was so tough – and I think it’ll stand us in good stead for next season.

“Obviously, I’m out of contract at the end of next year, but I’m certainly in no rush to get anything sorted out right now.

“I just want to focus all my attention on the Giants and try and have the best season I possibly can here.

“I’ll save taking a look at my future options for a much later date.”
