Huddersfield Giants prop Craig Kopczak believes the team are building up to their best Super League form at just the right time.
Huddersfield have made a far from convincing start to the defence of the League Leaders’ Shield they won in such emphatic fashion last season.
Coach Paul Anderson’s men are seventh in the top-flight table with four wins and two draws from their opening 10 fixtures.
But Wales World Cup captain Kopczak knows there’s still a lot more to come from the Giants, and at this stage of the season he’s happy for people to write off the club’s chances.
“If people want to push us to one side and ignore our challenge, that’s fine by us. We’re happy going under the radar,” said Kopczak.
“We feel we’ve got some unfinished business from last year, because we know how close we came to going on and winning the Grand Final.
“Now we’re at that stage of the year where we really need to kick-on, and I believe we will.
“We got the two wins over Easter and we want to make it three, four, five.”
