Our next meeting at Turnbridge WMC in November (3rd) promises to be a very popular event.

This will be the day when we’ll see two Fartown stalwarts as our special guests – Seth and Big Ian.

Yes, Ken Senior and Ian Van Bellen will be coming along to entertain us.

They are two great characters in Fartown’s history and it’s guaranteed a good time will be had by all.

Meanwhile, we are pleased to report that Rudolph got over his bout of flu in time for the usual delivery routine last December. If you remember, it was Rudolph’s illness and the threat of an epidemic which, at Santa’s request, forced us to cancel last year’s Reindeer Race Night.

Santa learned his lesson from last year and all his reindeer have had flu jabs. He had to have it done privately as reindeer are not covered by the NHS. Naturally HGSA donated to this worthy cause.

So, all stations are go – or should I say ‘all stalls are go’ – for the grand depart on Friday, December 11.

The specially prepared paddock will again be at Turnbridge WMC.

Huddersfield Giants Supports' Association chairman Dave Calverley.

The reindeer will be available for viewing from 7.30pm onwards with the their first race at 8 o’clock.

Santa’s usual condition will apply again this year – that none of the reindeer will be allowed to run under their own names. So Donna, Blitzen and the rest will have to have new names.

You, dear reader, are very welcome to own and name a reindeer for a race. All it will cost will be a mere £3.

A FUN evening is guaranteed, so come along and bring the kids. You never know, Santa himself usually turns up to keep an eye on his steeds.
