Hull KR started the season with virtually a new team.

A total of 12 signings arrived at the KC Lightstream Stadium, with a number of big guns departing.

Leading the check-in list were the likes of top Australian NRL quintet Terry Campese, Albert Kelly, Josh Mantellato, Ken Sio and Maurice Blair, and their influence is now starting to pay off.

Given the huge turanaround in playing personnel, it was no massive surprise that the new-look Robins were slow out of the blocks.

A 40-30 home opening-day defeat to Leeds Rhinos was followed by a 44-24 loss at Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.

But after winning at the third time of asking, 22-20 at home to Wigan Warriors, everything started to fall into place.

Rovers underlined their attacking potential two weeks later with a big 50-20 home triumph over Catalans Dragons, with Shaun Lunt crossing for two tries on his debut following his season-long loan move from the Giants – a result which set them up nicely to record their two most significant wins of the season so far.

Ten days ago, Rovers became the first team to beat leaders St Helens, securing a thoroughly-deserved 24-22 home triumph, before strolling to a 20-6 victory at city rivals Hull FC on Good Friday.

As a result, confidence in the Robins camp right now is sky high.

The Giants have been warned!
