Excited Huddersfield Giants marketing chief James Brammer is desperate to see his club end a glorious home campaign on a massive high.

Huddersfield host Hull FC at the John Smith’s Stadium in a Super League XVIII Preliminary Semi-final clash in the Giants’ final home game of the season.

Victory against the Black and Whites would earn coach Paul Anderson ’s men an away trip the following week, when a place in the Old Trafford Super League Grand Final is the prize.

But defeat to Hull would mean the end of a magnificent season for the minor Super League champions .

And that’s something Brammer doesn’t want to contemplate.

“This has obviously been our best League season for 81 years,” said Brammer, whose side lifted the Super League Leaders’ Shield three weeks ago.

“Along the way we’ve experienced some magical moments at the John Smith’s, and hopefully there will be one more to come tomorrow night. After such an amazing year, none of us dare think of failing tomorrow night.

“We just hope the fans will be out in force tomorrow night to give the players the final home send-off they deserve.

“Our supporters have been awesome this season, and I know they can make a big difference in this sudden-death fixture.

“Sales of our £10 tickets for the game have been encouraging, and between now and deadline at noon tomorrow we hope a lot more will have gone.”
