Huddersfield Giants next Super League rivals Hull FC are close to securing a deal to bring Gold Coast Titans winger Steve Michaels to the KC Stadium for next season.

The Airlie Birds, who are at the John Smith’s Stadium on Sunday, are believed to have agreed terms with the 26-year-old Australian.

A former Brisbane Broncos winger with over 100 NRL appearances, Hull coach Lee Radford see Michaels as a recruit who can bring pace to their back division next season.

Hull have just two senior wingers in their squad next season in Tom Lineham and Fetuli Talanoa, with Radford eager to add a third, who can also provide competition at centre
