DEFIANT Hull KR coach Justin Morgan believes a play-off spot is still up for grabs.

An upbeat Morgan said: “The season’s not dead. We’ve just got a game less to catch the team that’s ahead of us. So let’s not cry for too long.

“When people see the newspapers they’ll see the result and think it was an easy win.

“But we stayed with them and worked hard without being able to get our noses in front.

“The real difference was they capitalised on our mistakes more than we did (on theirs).

“We prepared very well defensively but didn’t execute the plays particularly well. It meant we couldn’t get enough forward momentum to get ahead.”

Morgan added on Clint Newton’s sin-binning for dissent: “I thought it was a bit harsh.

“He was our acting captain and was just tying to make a point to the referee. But it’s in the past now and we move on.”
