FIRED-UP Robbie Paul is ready to kick-off his Giants career feeling at the peak of his power.

The 30-year-old New Zealand star makes his full debut in tomorrow's big Super League XI opener at Leeds Rhinos (3.00).

It promises to be a baptism of fire for Paul, who is poised to play his first full game since a Challenge Cup clash for the Bulls at Featherstone on April 3 last year.

But Paul and his Giants teammates refuse to be daunted by the prospect, and instead are relishing the chance to lock horns with the Rhinos.

"We've prepared really well and we're ready to play," said Paul. "As a side, we're looking in good shape and this first game can't come soon enough.

"We couldn't have asked for a much tougher opening test than Leeds away, but we're looking forward to it.

"And, personally, I can't wait. I'm feeling fitter and stronger than I have done in years, and my confidence is also high. We feel good."
