PAUL WHITE headed to the capital with his Giants teammates today knowing a Super League return is not too far away.
The 21-year-old has been named in a 20-man squad for the game at London Broncos tomorrow (3.00).
That's a reward for the way he played against Oldham in the Senior Academy on Thursday as he made a tryscoring return to action after suffering a broken left leg in the pre-season win over Castleford Tigers on January 30.
Whether White plays in the capital will be decided tomorrow, but the fact he is part of the travelling party suggests a Super League return is not too far away.
"Whatever happens on Sunday, it's still great to be back!" said White after helping the Senior Academy beat Oldham 46-12.
"But I have to admit there's a long way to go yet before I get back to full fitness.
"I didn't expect to play the full 80 minutes against Oldham, and I have to hold my hands up and say it was hard.
"But it was still a very positive start.
"The leg feels fine and, overall, I feel stronger.
"Physio Martin Higgins has done some great rehab work with me and Jason Davidson has been working me hard in the gym building up my strength.
"I'm looking forward to the matches ahead."
