Huddersfield Giants moved to fourth in Super League with a 19-0 away success at Salford Red Devils.

Head coach Paul Anderson had flagged up the fact he was looking for payback after the Giants 18-12 setback against Salford on home soil – and his side more than delivered.

He said “It was not the best of games, in fact it was pretty dire.

“It as pretty poor and the wet conditions didn’t help, but a win is a win and it has put us into fourth place.

“But it was a perfect night for Danny Brough and the conditions suited him and he showed just what a good player he is.

“We defended well and it was one of those where you had to grind it out and get the job done.

“Salford have their problems and they worked very hard, but we did the job we had to do.”

The Giants are at Leeds next in the Challenge Cup next Saturday.
