KEVIN BROWN knows victory at Catalan Dragons will send another clear message the Huddersfield Giants mean business this season.

Huddersfield head to Perpignan on Saturday determined to secure a win which would keep them two points clear at the top of Super League at the halfway stage.

Giants captain Brown knows his side face a huge challenge to become the first team to triumph in the South of France this term.

But with confidence in the Giants camp high after a run of six successive League and Cup wins, the influential loose-forward believes his side are perfectly placed to secure an 11th top-flight triumph.

“We’re delighted with the way things have gone so far and we’re determined to make sure we don’t let our lead slip,” said Brown.

“We’ve worked so hard to get where we are, and the last thing we want to see now is all that hard work go to waste.

“We’re confident it won’t. We feel we’re improving as a team all the time, and if we keep on improving we know we’re capable of keeping hold of our lead.

“I’m sure there are still a lot out there who expect us to slip up, and proving all our doubters wrong is an extra source of motivation for us.

“There’s no doubt becoming the first team to win in France would send a clear message to everyone that we’re the team to beat, and it would certainly be a big wake-up call to Catalan, who are one of the top teams this year.

“That makes Saturday’s game massive.”

Brown returns to the starting line-up after being rested for the 52-0 Challenge Cup win.
