SUNDAY will be special for me.
The chance to lead the boys out at the Galpharm Stadium as the permanent captain for the first time in a Super League fixture should be a moment to remember for me.
The atmosphere is always great and I’m sure it will be no different against Hull FC.
As I’ve said plenty of times, I’m really proud to be made captain and excited about going forward.
We are all looking forward to getting back out there, especially in front of our home fans for the first time, and it’s a good chance to put in the kind of performance that will allow us to walk off the field with our heads held high.
The beauty of sport is that you nearly always get a chance the week after to put things right and a week is a long time in rugby league.
The opportunity for us to run out there in front of our supporters is one to relish, and if we can get back to doing what we know we can do, then I’m sure it will be a really enjoyable afternoon for everyone – players and fans alike.
