STUART JONES is to go under the knife to cure a long-standing knee problem.

The Giants’ back-rower picked up an injury to his left knee in the win at Hull KR in April and has been struggling ever since.

But tomorrow he will undergo surgery and has already been told he’ll be back to full fitness for the start of Super League pre-season training next month.

“It’s going to be a relief to finally get it sorted,” he said.

“The injury kept flaring up in the second half of the season and seriously affected what I could do.

“It’ll be great to be fully fit once again.”
