IAIN MORRISON has become the latest Giants' player to be cleared by the RFL disciplinary committee.

The 21-year-old was placed on report for a challenge on an airborne Jon Wells during Sunday's 30-6 Super League triumph at London Broncos.

But disciplinary chiefs cleared Morrison of any wrongdoing after studying the incident on video and he is clear to play against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats at the McAlpine this weekend.

Morrison is now the seventh Giants players to have been cleared this way this season, with head coach Jon Sharp always confident this would be the case.

"I had a really good view of the incident, so I'm not surprised Iain's been cleared," said Sharp.

"His challenge was clumsy rather than reckless and that's also clearly the way the RFL viewed it."

But two other players have been ordered to appear in front of the disciplinary commitee after being placed on report over the weekend.

They are St Helens prop Keith Mason for a high tackle against Warrington, and Wigan's Mark Smith for a dangerous throw at Wakefield.
