GIANTS newcomer Liam Fulton can’t wait to be involved in one of rugby league’s most historic competitions.

The Giants will face Rochdale at home in the fifth round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup and Fulton (pictured below) is looking forward to the game.

“The Challenge Cup is something special. Being involved in the competition is something I wanted to do and I am looking forward to it,” said the 24-year-old, who is set for his Giants debut in tomorrow night’s Super League meeting with Celtic Crusaders at the Galpharm Stadium.

“But while I can’t wait to get amongst that, we really have to take first things first.

“We have got three games in Super League in the next week and I want to do well in those games and put my best foot forward for the team.”

The Giants have promoted 18-year-old prop Adam Walker to the full-time first grade squad.

Head of Youth Performance Damian McGrath is delighted to see him take the next step forward.

“Young Adam has impressed everyone with his attitude and work ethic in the off season and he simply gets better each week,” said McGrath.
