The official launch of the book ‘Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants; A History of Rugby League in Huddersfield’ will take place as part of the Senior Giants meeting at PPG Canalside tomorrow (Wednesday 3rd) afternoon (from 2pm).
There will be short talks about the new publication by one of the main authors, former Giants football manager Stuart Sheard, information about the future of the Huddersfield RL Heritage Group by David Thorpe and discussion on the Rugby League Heritage by Tony Collins.
There will also be tributes to the late club stalwarts David Gronow, Nancy Beaumont and Keith Burhouse by Dave Smith, Angela Sykes and Stuart Sheard respectively.
There will then be a question and answer.
Also in attendance will be top Huddersfield RL Players Association officials Ken Senior, Ian Van Bellen, David Oates and Tony Johnson, and everyone is welcome.
