HUDDERSFIELD Giants have secured a major sponsorship deal with leading sports equipment company Primo Play Ltd.

The Dewsbury-based business have agreed to supply the Centurion range of fitness and training equipment for the full Giants Super League squad.

The deal follows the appointment of Geoff Evans as the club's Head of Athletic Performance.

Evans used Centurion equipment at previous clubs St Helens and Wakefield and now swears by it.

At the Wildcats he was able to use his skills and knowledge of the benefits of structured training programmes with the equipment to help in Trinity's rise up the Super League ladder.

And he is sure that can be repeated at the Giants.

"I've used Centurion since my time at St Helens and the equipment is second to none," said Evans.

"When I made the move to Wakefield, I made sure I had the equipment again.

"And I'm delighted that we've managed to strike a deal with the Giants.

"The kit will play a big part in knocking the players into even better shape."

Centurion's wide range of products, from tackle bags to highly specialised fitness training equipment, are designed to help improve the speed, power, skill and stability of the rugby player.

Primo Play Ltd has just moved into a brand new purpose-built factory on Thornhill Road in order to meet increased customer demands from amateur and professional rugby clubs throughout the country.
