NEW marketing chief James Brammer has set his sights on record season-ticket sales for the Giants in Super League XII.

The former Bradford Bulls man has revealed that over 100 of the first 500 season tickets sold for 2007 went to first-time holders.

Huddersfield had around 2,500 season-ticket holders last season.

And Brammer is confident that figure can be smashed ahead of next year's start in mid-February.

"My ultimate goal at the Giants is to increase crowds," said the 27-year-old, who started at the Galpharm a week ago.

"It's an exciting challenge and one I believe I can achieve.

"I was delighted to arrive here last week and find 20% of the season-ticket holders for next year are new ones.

"It gives me a fantastic base to work on, and I'm absolutely determined to make the most of it.

"There are several schemes implemented at the Bulls that I intend to use here.

"They are all tried and tested and I'm sure will be of benefit to the Giants.

"But my main selling point will obviously be the strength of the squad.

"I'm fortunate that I have arrived here on the back of an appearance in the Challenge Cup final, which gives us great impetus.

"But it's pretty obvious next season's squad will be stronger and has even more to offer in 2007.

"It's up to me to re-inforce that message and make sure the Giants continue to build on their crowds.

"There's no reason at all why it can't be achieved."
