GIANTS full-back Paul Reilly will make himself available for England's European Nations Cup final clash against Ireland at Warrington on Sunday.

The 28-year-old had to be helped off the field after falling to an illegal tackle during the 42-4 weekend win over France in Avignon.

Reilly was today being checked over by the England medical staff following a heavy bang to the head.

But he has already stated his intention to play against the Irish if at all possible and line up alongside fellow Giants men Eorl Crabtree and Stuart Jones.

Crabtree also played against the French and received a clean bill of health, while Jones was rested.

And the in-form Crabtree is keeping his fingers crossed that all three get the nod this weekend.

"It would be fantastic if we had three Huddersfield players in the England side on Sunday," said Crabtree.

"I feel a bit sore after the French game, but Stuart is raring to go after being rested.

"And I know Paul wants to play as well.

"The challenge on him which caused his injury wasn't very pleasant.

"He got smashed into the ground by a couple of their players, and he was a bit groggy for a while.

"But Paul's been used to taking the heavy bangs over the years, and he'll be fine.

"I think they singled him out for a bit of treatment because he had been playing so well.

"When he came off the bench he was ripping them up.

"It's just a shame that the French found an illegal way to keep him quiet.

"The only consolation is that Paul was awarded a penalty for his troubles, not that he seemed aware of it at the time!"

England start as favourites against Ireland on Sunday.

The final will be England's first on home soil - their European wins have been in France and Russia - and Crabtree is hoping the fans turn out in force.

"We know the priority is the Tri-Nations, but for us Sunday is huge and to attract a big crowd would be great," he added.
