PAUL REILLY is poised to make a Giants return as concerns grow over the fitness of fellow winger Martin Aspinwall.

Huddersfield-born Reilly (right) was rested as the Giants suffered their 47-28 defeat to Warrington on Sunday.

But with Great Britain ace Aspinwall already ruled out for Sunday’s Super League trip to in-form Wakefield, Reilly is the natural replacement.

Aspinwall was today being booked in for a further scan to assess the full extent of the damage suffered to his right knee during the Warrington reverse.

Giants officials remain tight-lipped as to the severity of the problem until further tests have been completed.

However, it is looking increasingly likely the former Wigan winger won’t be seen again this season.

A question mark also remains over the fitness of prop Eorl Crabtree.

He was left concussed after an accidental clash of heads with Wolves’ Great Britain pack star Adrian Morley.

Crabtree will now have to undergo a medical check later in the week before he can be given the all-clear to play.
