GIANTS coach Jon Sharp will urge his players to battle like never before as they prepare for their biggest Super League test of the season.
Huddersfield go into Sunday's top-flight clash against leaders Leeds Rhinos at the Galpharm Stadium (4.30) as massive underdogs.
Injuries are again taking their toll on Sharp's patched-up squad, with prop Eorl Crabtree now ruled out with a damaged shin.
But the Giants chief will not let his players use the injuries as an excuse as his club look for a big Super League finish and a place in the top six play-offs.
"Sunday is all about having pride in the shirt," said Sharp.
"This weekend we face our biggest challenge so far against the team that has dominated the competition.
"Now is the time to really stand up and be counted, to show the pride, passion and character that I know they all possess. It is a time to put bodies on the line.
"I know we again have our injury problems, but we can't afford to hide behind this as an excuse.
"It is a great chance to put on a big show in front of the Sky TV cameras and get ourselves in good shape for a big end-of-season finish."
