IN-FORM Huddersfield Giants Junior Academy made it six wins on the trot with a 58-10 destruction of Featherstone Rovers at the Lionheart Stadium.
The visitors dominated from start to finish and if they beat London Broncos at Fartown on Saturday (2.30) could finish top of their division heading into the play-offs.
Huddersfield will be red-hot favourites to triumph, with the forwards again expecting to lead by example.
The pack were magnificent against Featherstone, and the home side were unable to handle the likes of Jason Southwell, Justin Brown and Joe Fitzpatrick.
Lively half-backs Ritchie Hawkyard - who also doubles up as hooker - and Thomas Hemingway were also far too good for their hosts.
In fact, these two were responsible for opening the Giants' account after three minutes when Hawkyard raced in for a try and Hemingway added the first of his 11 goals.
And by half-time the club's Under 18s side had built up a 28-0 lead.
Southwell, Peter Robinson and Marcus George all followed Hawkyard over the tryline and Hemingway landed the conversions as well as two penalties.
It was a similar story in the second half, with further tries coming from Matt Simpson (2), George, Southwell and Hemingway.
Featherstone did grab two tries of their own, but this will still go down as the side's most dominant display of the campaign so far.
