THE Giants are promoting Friday’s home Super League XVIII clash against Catalan Dragons as ‘Five Pound Friday’.

With the match being screened live by Sky TV, Huddersfield officials are keen to attract a big crowd as the second-placed Giants look to keep the pressure on leaders Wigan Warriors.

As a result, tickets in the John Smith’s Stadium Fantastic Media Stand are just £5 for all age groups (subject to availability from the stadium ticket office).

And as well as being able to watch what promises to be an explosive top-flight fixture, fans who have a valid match ticket can take a look at the Bloodhound Supersonic car which is currently under development by some of the world’s leading engineers, and looking to achieve the goal of reaching a land speed record of 1,000 mph.

Giants Marketing Manager James Brammer commented: "it’s a wonderful opportunity to see our team live and the only chance to see the Bloodhound SSC car.

“The game sells itself now our run is gathering momentum and points for both teams are vital.

“All Super League eyes are starting to turn towards the top end of the table.

“With this in mind, it has never been more important for the public of Huddersfield to help push the Giants through what is the toughest part of the season, both mentally and physically.

“This is a vital fixture.”
