GIANTS star Paul Reilly has just enjoyed a dream honeymoon - as part of his testimonial celebrations!

The Huddersfield rugby league star is in the middle of a benefit season to mark 10 years at his hometown club.

And he signed off the most memorable season in his professional career by marrying Paula Ramsden at St Paul's Church, Moldgreen.

The ceremony came three months after the full-back appeared for Huddersfield in the club's first Challenge Cup final for 44 years when they were beaten 42-12 by St Helens in front over 65,000 fans at Twickenham.

That appearance was obviously a dream come true for the Huddersfield-born player.

But he admitted the wedding was the icing on the cake in 2006, particularly with a honeymoon to Tenerife thrown in for good measure.

The holiday was donated to the happy couple by Giants fans George and Paul Brown to help Reilly celebrate his testimonial, and the Super League star couldn't have been happier.

"I've been overwhelmed by the support I've received for my testimonial," said Reilly. "But having a honeymoon donated to you as part of your testimonial takes some beating.

"I was absolutely delighted when George and Paul came up with the offer, and I can't thank them enough for doing this for us.

"We had a great wedding and then a great reception at the St Patrick's Centre.

"It was a big `do' because we both have big families. In fact, we had 15 bridesmaids and 12 ushers.

"Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and our thanks go to everyone who made the day so special."
