THREE former Giants stars were in action at a charity rugby league boxing night at the Frontier Club, Batley, last night.
Paul Reilly, Garry Schofield and Phil Joseph were all involved in an event to raise cash for the Steve Prescott Foundation, which donates 50% to the RFL Benevolent Fund and the Christie Cancer Hospital.
Former Giants player-coach and Great Britain’s most capped player, Schofield, was involved in the headline bout when he fought Oldham chairman Bill Quinn.
Oldham player Reilly was set to face Featherstone’s Dave Downie, while fellow Oldham man Joseph was up against Dewsbury’s Andy Burland.
Rawthorpe Boxing Club’s Mark Reynolds helped with some of the organisation and is now gearing up for tomorrow night’s War of the Roses event at the Galpharm.
