EXCITED returning Giants star Chris Thorman will book in for pre-season training on Monday fitter and stronger than ever.
The 24-year-old half-back has spent the last two years away from the town, spending a Super League season at London Broncos before moving on to leading Australian NRL side Parramatta Eels.
But now the Newcastle-born star is back and ready to hit the Huddersfield training regime running.
"I've been itching to get back into training from the moment I first came back to town a fortnight ago," said Thorman, whose American girlfriend Lana has been able to transfer her studies for a drama and media degree from London to the University of Huddersfield.
"Very little has changed in the town and the club from the time I moved away two-and-a-half years ago.
"The office staff at the Giants are the same and so are a number of the coaching team.
"It's been great seeing Jon Sharp, Jason Davidson and Lee St Hilaire in advance of Monday.
"But while little appears to have changed around the place I believe I've changed - and for the better.
"Over the past 12 months I've worked with some of the world's best players at Parramatta and played against some of the world's best players.
"I'm sure this experience will stand me in good stead next season, and right now I feel in great condition."
