Adrian Morley is hoping the extra emotion he’ll feel in his final home game for Warrington in tomorrow’s Qualifying Semi-Final against the Giants will help inspire the Wolves to another play-off triumph.

Victory for veteran prop Morley and his men will take Warrington to a second successive Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford next Saturday.

Tomorrow’s clash will be Morley’s final game at the Halliwell Jones Stadium for the Wolves, with the former Great Britain forward joining hometown club Salford Red Devils next season.

And Morley is determined to finish a glorious eight years at the club on a high.

“Personally, it will be an emotional night,” said Morley, whose side host the Giants after Warrington chose to play the minor Super League XVIII champions through ClubCall.

“My little lad and girl are being mascots, so it’s going to be a nice night for me.Hopefully, it’s not my last Warrington game, but it will be my last home one, so it’s going to be a sad occasion but, if we get the win, also an enjoyable one.

“And it’s also going to be a tough one.

“As players, whoever we’d have got would have been an extremely tough game with what’s at stake; both teams were in the top four. Now we know, and everybody else knows, it’s out in the open so let’s just crack on.

“There were pros and cons for who we could pick for ClubCall, whether it would be Huddersfield or Leeds. We are expecting a tough game, but we’re also looking forward to it.”

But Morley is aware that picking the Giants could add further fire to their challenge.

“Leeds have shown over the last two years it’s worked for them motivation-wise as they’ve come up with great performances. They’ve thrived on being picked at ClubCall,” he added.

“Whoever we’d have chosen would have had that in their arsenal, so it’s up to us to combat that.

“And I don’t think our recent good record over Huddersfield will count for us on Thursday night.

“You can’t look at past results as that could come and bite you on the backside. It’s a different game with a lot more at stake than in the other encounters. We’ll prepare well and hopefully put in a performance worthy of us getting to Manchester.”
