GIANTS chairman Ken Davy today shrugged off the bitter disappointment of his side's Challenge Cup semi-final defeat by vowing: "We will be back!"

Huddersfield failed to reach their first final for 42 years after being crushed 46-6 by St Helens at Warrington yesterday.

But Davy refused to dwell on defeat and, instead, is looking forward to what he predicts will be an even brighter future.

"We're all feeling extremely disappointed right now, it's only natural," he said.

"But I believe the lads have done tremendously well to get to where they are now in such a short space of time.

"I'm incredibly proud of coach Jon Sharp and his team, and I'm incredibly proud of the supporters for the way they got behind the team yesterday.

"As far as I'm concerned, to reach the semi-final at this stage in our development is a bonus.

"I have no doubt everyone will be stronger for this experience, and I'm 100% sure we won't have to wait another 33 years to reach a semi-final. We will be back!"
