WE were disappointed when we were beaten at Bradford Bulls last weekend.

But we're obviously even more disappointed after this loss to Hull KR.

As you can imagine, we were all really down in the changing room at the end of the game.

And quite rightly so.

We set ourselves very high standards and, at Bradford the week before, we felt we were close to reaching them.

As a result, we were really disappointed because we didn't get the victory we felt our efforts deserved - just like it was against St Helens in our opening League game.

But we let our standards slip against Hull KR, and that's why we all felt so very disappointed.

We did create a lot of chances, which is something we've been working on in training, but we just couldn't seem to get the ball over the line.

It's hard to put your finger on why this is the case straight after a game.

Hopefully, the video will shed some more light on it and we can start to right the wrongs.

Yet even in defeat, there's no doubt we're now a fitter and stronger side, that's clearly not the problem.

And I say that speaking from my own experience.

To be honest, I felt I went better yesterday than I did against Bradford.

But because our ball control against Hull KR was not good enough, I did seem to spend a lot of my time concentrating on my defence.

I do enjoy the defensive work, but we were forced to do far too much of it on this occasion.

Hopefully, that will change very quickly.
