I WOULD like to congratulate the Giants on their win over Leigh.

It was an exciting game and in that heat too!

I was there watching it with my husband, daughter and father-in-law.

Paul Reilly made a silly error, but fortunately we managed without him.

James Evans played superbly and deserved his man-of-the-match award.

It was also good to see Paul White on the field, and what a great interception by Hefin O'Hare to get the last try for us.

The only way is upward and onward!

Come on Giants, you can do it - if you play like you did on Sunday, and better, like you have before.

Well done to everyone!

Why complain?

WHY are so many complaining about the Leigh game?

We won, it wasn't pretty but we got the two Super League points.

The Giants played most of the game with only 12 players and in sweltering heat. What do some people expect from them?

Do all of you really think you could have gone out there and done any better?

I personally think this season has been a bit of a let down with how we have been playing, but I still don't think we will get relegated.

Good to see White on the field for more than 10 minutes though!

Should do better

I HAVE been watching the Giants for many years now.

But with the team we have got now, we should be up there in the top six.

I'm getting angry with Jon Sharp's tatics and playing players out of position. Why?

We also have young talent, but, no, we don't use them.

I'm very, very, very frustrated and wondering if I should renew my season ticket next year.

Watching the Leigh game was embarrassing.

Yet again Paul Reilly loses the plot, when will he learn?

He could have cost us the game on Sunday.

So, once again it was the Chris Thorman show.

Ask yourself how are we going to keep this guy on our books, because there are plenty of Super League teams who would take him at any time.

The same also applies to Drew, White, Hemingway, do I need to continue?

And one other point. Leigh will not stay in Super League if they keep giving stupid high tackles away, disgraceful! My rant over.

Not wanted?

IF Lee Fowler wanted out last season, then I'm sure he must feel the same now.

The only Town player of his type in the squad and yet six attacking midfielders make the trip to Ibiza.

I would be shocked if Fowler starts more than five games this season and if I were him I'd go somewhere where I'd be likely to start every game (ie most other League I sides or some Championship ones).

I understand Carss has made the journey.

He's no doubt tried 10,000 volleys since October 3 and some have landed in Bradford, but still trading off that video re-run!

Roll on August 6.

I hope the team is: Rachubka, Holdsworth, Adams, Clarke (N), Clarke (T), Mirfin, Brandon, Worthington, Abbott, Booth, Ahmed.

Does anyone think otherwise?

Out in the cold

COULD someone from the Huddersfield and District Veterans Bowling Association please explain to me and other Veteran bowlers why it is that I can read the results in the Examiner of practically every match that has been played during the week in the various leagues, including County, Inter-District, Mirfield, Ladies and Juniors, but nothing at all from the matches in which we Vets are involved.

Do the Executive Committee members think we are not interested, can't they be bothered or what?

All the other Leagues seem to manage it; don't say you can't do as well as them.

Come on, get your act together and let us read the results of OUR League matches in same way as all the other bowlers, male and female, juniors and seniors, in the Huddersfield area.

Please, do what you can to help us and ensure we are not left out in the cold.
