GIANTS pace ace Paul White was left feeling frustrated after missing out on a place in the final of the Fastest Man in Rugby League showdown at Wigan's Robin Park last night.
The 21-year-old thought he had won his heat when he stormed to victory in spectacular style.
But he then found out there had been a false start and the race had to be re-run.
Unfortunately, his efforts in winning the initial heat took its toll and he failed to re-produce his winning form when the race was re-started.
The event was eventually won by the favourite, St Helens winger Darren Albert, in a time of 11.3 seconds.
And that's not a bad time considering the competitors had to run in rugby boots on grass with a ball under their arm.
The event was run for Sports Aid.
