HUDDERSFIELD'S Junior Academy side are relishing the chance to take centre stage against Featherstone Rovers tomorrow.

The 3.30 fixture takes place as a curtain-raiser to the Giants v Leeds Super League clash on the McAlpine Stadium pitch.

It's the first time the youngsters will have played at the venue, and Giants football manager Stuart Sheard admits they are all excited at the prospect.

"When they first found out the match would be at the McAlpine the lads were all very excited," said Sheard.

"There was definitely an extra spring in their step in training and for many of them this will be their biggest game.

"The team has played Super League curtain-raisers already this season, but never at a Test match venue.

"It should be a fantastic occasion for them, and we're also hopeful of picking up a win."
