The Didis team at Underbank Rangers are the talk of the town following the launch of their new team kit and sponsors.
And Giants stars Luke Robinson and Jack Hughes were on hand to make sure the official announcement proved a massive hit, with kit backers Holmfirth Vineyard Ltd, podiatrists Sandy and Bielby Ltd and builders RD Watson also at the event.
The Under 7s Didis side, which is for boys and girls players aged between three and seven, is based at Underbank’s Cross ground, with coach and former Rangers player Howard Redfearn knows what a big development
“It is great to see the kids down at the club having fun and making friends,” said Redfearn.
“We have increased the participation from five to 21 in only a year ,and the main thing is that they are getting exercise and enjoying themselves.”
Added Giants star Robinson: “I’m so pleased to be a part of this launch and join the kids for it.
“Rugby League is a massive part of the community and it is great to see everyone involved from local businesses, the mums and dads and the kids themselves. With this start, who knows where they might be in years to come?”
