HUDDERSFIELD RUFC’s Under 13 side were defeated 48-7 by a physical Sandal side in the Yorkshire Cup final.

Despite going into the game unbeaten in competitive games, Huddersfield appeared nervous in front of a big crowd at Scarborough RUFC.

Jack Parkinson replied for Huddersfield with a try and the conversion, after a dominant Sandal had raced into a big lead.

Sandal continued their strong performance in the second half, building on their 31-7 half-time advantage.

The game was officially finished at 48-7, but Huddersfield still had time to give some playing time to the rest of the squad.

Further scores from Ben Dickinson and Sam Bouroh, along with impressive performances from Titus Gwaze, Harry Woodhouse, Arthur Wilkinson, Cameron McBride and Cian Gregg left Huddersfield wondering what might have been had they hit form sooner.
