HUDDERSFIELD’S Senior Colts skipper Josh Walker (right) is all set to resume his county career next week when he plays for Yorkshire’s Under 18s in the County Championship.

The scrum half, who has been playing for the Lockwood Park club since he was four years old, is in the Yorkshire side for the games against Cumbria on Sunday week at Carlisle, followed by the match against Lancashire in Leeds on October 28, and finally the clash with Cheshire on November 4, in Chester.

Last season, Walker played in all five games for Yorkshire’s Under 17s when he inter-changed between scrum half and stand-off, and also scored two tries on his debut against Warwickshire.

A student at Silcoates School in Wakefield, Walker also represented the Leeds Academy this summer when he played in the Saracens Festival.

He is currently captaining the Senior Colts side, who are top of their League with four wins from four games, and is the son of former first team legendary hooker Peter Walker.
