HONLEY High School's Year 8 rugby union squad just missed out on a Twickenham experience.
The school's Under 13s side represented West Yorkshire in the Emerging Schools National Finals in London.
But in the end they were pipped by Bicester College for the right to grace the hallowed turf of the home of rugby union.
Honley had won two and drawn one of their previous three games, whereas Bicester had triumphed in all three of their matches.
And although the match turned out a draw, Bicester went through because of their better record.
Bicester were beaten in the final, however, by All Saints Catholic School, London.
