HUDDERSFIELD Rugby Union Club will have plenty of representation at England’s HQ this weekend, when six of their successful Under 15 squad will be in action at Twickenham.

The ‘six pack’ are all members of the QEGS (Wakefield) School team who have won through to the Daily Mail Under 15 Cup final, where they tackle Warwick School this afternoon on the hallowed Twickenham turf.

It will be the first time QEGS have met the Midlanders since they clashed at Under 11 level, when the Huddersfield contingent were all in the Junior school.

Obviously the Twickenham appearance will be uppermost in their minds this season, but the Huddersfield boys have another cup final on the horizon.

The Lockwood Park club’s all-conquering Under 15s have also reached the final of the Yorkshire Cup (see report above).

And there is a further honour awaiting centre Connor Field, who has just been named to start at No12 for Yorkshire Under 15s in their first Inter-County match against Lancashire on Easter Sunday.

Huddersfield are supplying two thirds of the QEGS front row, with Jacob Glover and Harry Clarke the two props, while Tom Kay is just behind them in the second row.

Field is a prolific-scoring outside centre, while Seb Wood and Lewis Greenhalgh normally play on the wing, although the latter is also comfortable at full-back.

It is a tremendous achievement for one club to supply 40% of the QEGS side and speaks volumes for the coaching and junior set-up at Lockwood Park.
