The Oldfield Cup final which was due to be played at Golcar today, Bank Holiday Monday, is off.

Meltham were due to meet Barkisland in the Sellers Huddersfield Junior League’s Under 17 showpiece – formerly the Walker Cup – but there is no chance of play at Swallow Lane due to wet weather.

The final will now be played at Golcar on Sunday, September 7, when the start time is 11.30am.

Barkisland beat Lepton to win the Under 11 Dawson Cup final at Broad Oak.
