Winners of the Sue Johnson Bowl held at Huddersfield Golf Club last Saturday were Andrew Ramsden, Mike Dempsey, Linda Smith and Graham Harris.

This popular annual competition was started some 14 years ago to honour Sue on her election as President of English Ladies Golf, having previously been President of Yorkshire Ladies Golf.

Sue subsequently became a founding joint President of England Golf in 2012, when the Men’s and Ladies’ Unions merged, and is currently president of Fixby.

The competition comprised 22 four-person teams randomly drawn in a rocket start. The teams then enjoyed a pie and pea lunch before the prize presentation.

The club’s Alison Tracey said: “It was certainly a fun way to honour a four-time president as well as an opportunity to meet fellow members and make new friends.”
