Shepley athlete Emily Tinsley is setting her sights on being selected for the Yorkshire county athletics team again this summer.

Tinsley has had a great indoor season winning age group gold medals in both high jump and pole vault in the Northern regional events.

However, hopes of success in the national finals in the pole vault were dashed when the teenager had to pull out with a hip injury.

Tinsley returned to training a couple of weeks ago and competed in the Yorkshire County Championships in the and claimed first place and the county title.

The county team is soon to be picked for the nationals to be staged in Derby on August 2.
