The Examiner Salver finals day is set to be a cracker at Hall Bower on Sunday, July 13.

All four semi-finalists for the Sellers Huddersfield Junior League Under 13 knockout showpiece are now known.

Skelmanthorpe will meet Holmfirth in the first semi-final at 9.30am, while Kirkburton take on Hall Bower in the second semi (around 12.30).

The final follows in mid afternoon.

In Area A, Daniel Flatt of Almondbury Wes scored 28 runs and then took three wickets for two runs but still finished on the losing side against Hall Bower.

For the Bower, Matthew Crane held the innings together with 25 runs enabling them to knock off the 70 that were needed.

Remarkably this was the first match Almondbury Wes had played at home this season.

In Area C, Joe Falconio did the double and this time finished on the winning side, making 27 runs and taking three for 15 in the Golcar win over Meltham.

Eddie Roe also retired with the bat for Golcar and Ben Dyson contributed a useful 23 not out in their impressive 111 score.

There were first wins of the season for Clayton West and Elland in Area A, Marsden and Paddock in Area B and Broad Oak and Thurstonland in Area C.

Thurstonland were one of the top scorers with 121 in which Leo Corley and Adam Difford both retired with the bat.
