DAVID HALES will be on the lookout for more scalps in this weekend’s double-header for Drakes League Premiership clubs.

The former Almondbury Wesleyans bowler turned in the top performance of the opening-day top-flight programme with six for 44 to help Slaithwaite beat Golcar at Hill Top.

Slaithwaite have another Colne Valley derby on Saturday, when they travel to newly-promoted Broad Oak, and then they are on the road again on Sunday, when Delph & Dobcross is the destination.

Champions Hoylandswaine, who had a century from Gharib Nawaz in their victory over Broad Oak, are also on their travels twice this weekend but will have West Indian fast-bowler signing Kesrick Williams in their line-up.

He arrived in the country on Tuesday from the Windward Islands and will spearhead the Swaine attack at Elland on Saturday and Golcar on Sunday.
