It seems quite a while since Huddersfield Town appeared live on television.

Now we are gearing up for successive Sky games.

After Thursday night’s home match against Nottingham Forest, we go to Wolves a week on Saturday (October 3) for a lunchtime kick-off.

Fans often ask if playing at a different time to usual has any effect on players.

It happens a lot more often these days, although to be fair, Thursdays are normally Europa League nights.

The best thing is just to prepare the same way as normal, with the timings changed to suit.

Most players I know enjoy midweek matches, there’s just something abut the atmosphere.

Forest will bring a good few fans, and it’s going to be another big match.

We had a great 3-0 win over them at our place last season.

We also won 3-1 at Wolves, and it wouldn’t it be great if we could get another two victories?

Forest have made a solid start to the season, and Dougie Freedman has had some Financial Fair Play issues to deal with.

He was an unexpected successor to Stuart Pearce, but clearly impressed the powers that be at the City Ground during interview.

I played against him a few times, and he has quite a bit of managerial experience after his stints at Crystal Palace and Bolton Wanderers.

He was forced to work to a budget at both those clubs, and while things didn’t work out for him at Bolton, he has bounced back.

There is always going to be pressure to succeed at a club with the pedigree Forest have.

Fans will always talk about the Brian Clough era, and I remember playing against them in the Premier League for Sheffield Wednesday.

I also played against them in League I for Town, so they have had an up-and-down time over the last 20 years.

The supporters crave a return to the top flight, and Wolves have also set their stall out to try and win promotion.

They are another big name who have been forced to play in the third tier, and their return to the Championship was welcome.

Molineux is a great old ground, and one where we have had a good record in recent times.

Wolves have a couple of players who are well known to us in Conor Coady and Benik Afobe, and according to reports, they have both been playing well.
