Hi, it’s Eorl here.

And we’re still on something of a high after our backs-against-the-wall win at Saints the other night.

The way we worked so hard for each other from start to finish was absolutely massive.

Everyone, from one to 17, played a significant role in making this victory possible, with Jermaine McGillvary picking up Sky TV’s man-of-the-match award.

Fortunately, they did identify Jerry correctly – after he was mistaken for Wigan’s Liam Farrell earlier in the week!

For those of you who don’t know, the Daily Star did a cracking tale about the likelihood of Jerry being picked for England – which everyone at the Giants 100% believes should be the case – and then let themselves down by using a big picture of Faz to accompany the story, with the caption stating this was our explosive winger. Clearly the work of a very lazy sub-editor.

But it did give everyone a real laugh, with numerous tweets flying around regarding the subject.

My personal favourite was one which stated that in an instant Jerry had gone from ‘the Dark Destroyer to the Milky Bar Kid!’

I know Jerry definitely saw the funny side of it, and I’m sure Faz did, too.

It certainly made a change from Jerry and Bruno (Michael Lawrence) being mistaken for each other.

It happens in pictures and it also happens when they’re out and about. The number of times people come up to Jerry and say ‘hello Michael’ and vice versa is something that does annoy both of them.

To be honest, we all find it amazing, because they really don’t look alike at all. You’d certainly realise that if they stood next to each other, particularly as Bruno is almost a foot taller!

And there was definitely no mistaking the two of them when we played at Saints in the League game five weeks ago and Bruno made a break.

If that had been Jerry, we wouldn’t have seen him for dust.

But poor Bruno broke free and then immediately looked as if he was wading through treacle. I was exhausted for him.

If ever there was a moment which showed Bruno had gone from a back to a forward – and a highly-successful one at that – this was it.

However, going back to Jerry and the possibility of an England call.

I know I may be biased, but I simply can’t think of any other winger in the competition who would be above him at the moment.

And if he does get the call it would be thoroughly deserved.

Jerry really is a model professional, who does all the right things, on and off the field.

He trains as hard as anyone, always does the extras, watches what he eats and drinks, is a great family man and a Huddersfield lad through and through.

It’s got to be Jerry for England all the way!
