Hi, it’s Eorl here.

And isn’t it good to be talking about the possibility of making it three wins on the trot at Wakefield tomorrow!

We’ve got a good recent record against the Wildcats, although the fact they’ve run us close on a number of occasions means there will be no complacency on our part.

It’ll certainly seem a little strange playing this game on a Sunday, because Sunday fixtures are becoming rarer and rarer.

Personally, I’m pretty happy about that, and I’ve become a big fan of playing on a Thursday or Friday night, especially during the summer months.

Rugby League prides itself on being a family game, and it’s great to be able to watch a Super League game on the Friday night and then have the full weekend to do other family stuff.

That’s also something the players are then able to do. It means you can play a game on the evening and then look forward to a relaxing weekend.

You have to make a lot of sacrifices when you’re a professional sportsman, but the chance to have family weekends by playing on a week night makes things far better.

I know that’s a view shared by a lot of the boys, although that’s not going to prevent anyone from giving it less than 100% tomorrow.

We’ll all do everything in our power to win the contest and make sure we build on our last two wins – when the form of Jermaine McGillvary has been a real highlight.

And I’d like to think I’ve played a small part in that process.

Let me explain.

At the start of this season, a new coffee club was born and its members are Jerry, Danny Brough, Aaron Murphy, Craig Kopczak and me.

We meet for drinks once a week and, to make things more interesting, we all roll a dice and the one with the lowest number gets the coffees in for everyone.

Unfortunately for poor Jerry, there’s been only one occasion when he’s not thrown the lowest number, which means almost every trip he takes to the coffee shop is proving costly.

And when he’s the tightest man in rugby league that makes things very tough for him.

That’s leaving him incredibly frustrated.

But it does look as if Jerry’s using that frustration very positively by taking it out on the opposition when he get’s onto the Super League field.

So, long may Jerry having to get the drinks in continue!
