Can I introduce readers to a very important person at Huddersfield Town Football Club.

While he has already been working for us for a while, I want to make sure everyone knows about Nathan Hosker.

He’s a Huddersfield bloke and a lifelong Town fan, and he is the club’s Supporter Liaison Officer.

Nathan is basically the go-between for us – someone who is a point of reference between the supporters and the club.

He has supported the club himself from a very young age, so he is well aware of all the issues which can crop up, and he is very excited about playing his part in creating a very close bond between the supporters and the team.

Nathan goes to every home and away game and he is there to help our fans.

If there are any problems or anyone needs any help, then Nathan is the man to go to and he’ll be more than happy to help out.

At home games, he has is own set-up near the Revell Ward Stand, and people can also get in touch with him via Twitter at @htafcslo or contact his email address, which is slo@htafc.com

He is keen to meet and greet as many fans as possible and to discuss any issues concerning the club, and he has a key role now in our All Together Town meetings, when matters can be reported and dealt with if necessary.

Everyone is pulling together, and Nathan is an excellent middle man for the club who can help supporters at matchdays or, indeed, at any other time if they need help.

Many people are already aware of the job he is doing – he has spent time with North Stand Loyal for instance – and it’s important to me and to everyone at the club that our fans know he is there and know he is available to help them.

Don't forget to give a special cheer next Saturday to all the people who are taking part in our Walk For Pounds.

It’s the fourth time we’ve staged the event and, this year, those involved are trekking the 19.5 miles from the Yorkshire Air Ambulance headquarters at Nostell back to the John Smith’s Stadium.

They will do a lap of honour during our match against Fulham, so make sure you raise the roof to recognise their fundraising efforts.

Just like our Pedal for Pounds, the Walk for Pounds has grown year after year and, this year, we have 180 people taking part, which is absolutely fantastic.

All the money raised, of course, goes to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and to our Academy and every penny of it is well used.

The past three walks have raised around £60,000 and that makes it well worth doing for everyone taking part and also for the organisations it helps.

Only a few weeks ago we got a very shocking reminder of how important the Yorkshire Air Ambulance is when Tommy Smith was injured at the end of the Leeds United match here at the stadium.

That’s not something we ever envisaged seeing, but it’s wonderful to know such a brilliant service is available if needed.

We are very proud to play our part in helping to fund it, so let’s help Keep It Up!

In the meantime, we’ve got our midweek home clash with Norwich City on the agenda tomorrow night, so please come down to the John Smith’s Stadium and give the lads all the support you can.

Norwich are hot on the promotion trail but, as we’ve shown plenty of times this season, we are more than a match for anyone at this level when we produce our best form.

That wasn’t the case in our last home game against Rotherham when we never really got going, but it’s vitally important we all pull together in these closing matches of the season and help the club to finish as high as possible in the Championship standings.
