Silverstone looks set for an epic showdown this weekend.

The MotoGP title battle moves to the Octo British Grand Prix with Italy’s Valentino Rossi and Spain’s Jorge Lorenzo locked together at the top of the championship standings.

With just seven races remaining to decide the 2015 world champion, the Movistar Yamaha teammates Lorenzo and Rossi are tied on points 211 points, while the Repsol Honda Team’s Marc Marquez sits in third waiting to pick up the pieces should anyone falter.

Last year’s British Grand Prix saw Marquez take his 11th win of the season after an excellent duel with Lorenzo, with Rossi completing the podium – if the same were to happen this year Lorenzo would leave Silverstone with the outright lead in the standings.

However, this season has been anything but predictable and Lorenzo will be desperate to continue the form that he showed in the last round at Brno in the Czech Republic where he wiped out the gap between him and the 36-year-old Rossi who came home third.
