A MAJOR event focusing on products and services for the over-50s is coming to Huddersfield this week. The Kirklees and Calderdale Golden Years Roadshow will be held on Thursday at the Galpharm Stadium featuring stands manned by local organisations, charity fundraising events and competitions. Huddersfield Giants rugby players and mascot Big G will be signing autographs and a signed rugby ball will be up for sale. Grosvenor Casinos will run a fun charity casino for Kirkwood Hospice at Dalton and Overgate Hospice in Elland. Visitors can try out a golf simulator with prizes for the longest drive and the shot nearest the pin. The event will include free zumba and tai chi classes as well as a balloon race organised by sponsors Brearleys Solicitors.Read
