BURGLARY Longwood, Jan 5. Holes smashed in upper and lower part of window adjacent to two window handles. Raider believed disturbed by neighbours and did not get in. Longwood, Jan 10. Attempt made to force open back door but occupants were alerted and disturbed suspect who made off on foot then got into waiting VW golf parked at front of the house. Cowlersley, Jan 10. Sneak-thief got in through unlocked front door. Victim’s dog barked and awoke victim who shouted at intruder to get out, which he did. Nothing stolen and no damage caused. Golcar, Jan 6. Raider forced open front window, reached in and moved items on window sill in preparation for entry. But he was unable to climb in as window would not open wide enough due to damage. Golcar, Jan 7. Thief got in through small bathroom window and stole electrical goods. Longwood, Jan 10. Back, first floor wooden framed double glazed casement window smashed. Raider reached through opening latches to get in. Pillow case used to take away stolen jewellery. Outlane, Jan 7. Sneak-in thief got in through unlocked back kitchen door and stole car keys from work top. Shoulder of Mutton, Church Street, Slaithwaite, Jan 6. Thief got in through unlocked cellar door and stole electrical items and cash from pub area. Entry then gained to living quarters and CCTV hard drive stolen. Slaithwaite, Jan 9. Raider got in through unlocked top opening front upvc living room window and escaped by unlocking front door using key left in lock. Electrical goods and keys stolen. Milnsbridge, Jan 7. Raider climbed wall and smashed through roof to get into garage. Two power saws stolen. Pizza Delight, Market Street, Milnsbridge, Jan 8.
