BURGLARY Paddock, May 26. Known suspect used ladders to climb up and get inside house through insecure bathroom window and steal electrical goods. Shoulder of Mutton, Church Street, Slaithwaite, May 29. Top of transom window at back of house lifted out without causing damage. Raider then climbed into bathroom of living quarters and also went into office, stealing cash. Scapegoat Hill, May 27. Raider removed padlock from shed door to get inside. Second shed then broken into and mountain bike stolen. Spectrum Yarns Ltd, Britannia Road, Slaithwaite, May 25. Raider forced front wooden door open then once inside removed cable wires from ceiling and stripped them to get to copper wire. Marsden, May 26. Raider climbed on to porch and stole lead flashing. Golcar, May 29. Paving slabs stolen from front of property. Slaithwaite, May 31. Plastic chair taken from neighbour's garden used to climb up and steal lead flashing from above front bay window. Thieves got inside a house on Wood Street, Longwood through an unlocked door and stole the keys then the car of the occupant – a blue Vauxhall Corsa YK57XNZ. The alarm was activated on a house on Rutland Road, Golcar, when thieves forced the upvc door lock. Thieves smashed a window of a house on Heath House View, Golcar but did not manage to get inside.Read
